What is a course reserve?
Sometimes instructors set aside materials for your course and put it on "reserve."
Reserves might be in print or online.
Where do I find out what items my instructors have put on Reserve?
You can access course reserves using the Ares Course Reserves System .
You login to this using your UG Central login.
You can also access your course reserves using CourseLink.
How do I get my course reserves?
When you login to Ares you'll see a list of courses you're registered in. If some are missing, it just means they don't have any reserves.
Click on a course name to display the course reserves that go with it.
You will get a list of items that are on reserve for that course
Click on the item title to find out more about getting the item.
Some items you can view online. You can get to it by clicking on "View this item."
If you are off-campus you might be prompted to login again using your UG central login.
Some items are only available in print at the reserve desk. The Current Status will let you know if it is charged out to someone. Reserves Desk items can be checked out for 2 hours.
Don't forget to note the call number. You'll need to bring this to the staff at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library to borrow the item.
