Mendeley: How to Create a Bibliography from a Folder
This video will explain how to create a full, detailed bibliography from a selected folder in Mendeley.
Once you’re finished collecting references for your project, you can download a full bibliography using Mendeley.
Let’s walk through the steps to create a bibliography in Mendeley.
Step 1: Open Mendeley desktop.
Step 2: Select the folder you want to create the bibliography for.
Step 3: Select ‘view’ from the top toolbar Then select ‘library as citations’ from the drop down menu The chosen citation style will be shown at the top of your list of references.
Step 4: To change the citation style of your bibliography, select view from the toolbar. Then select citation style, and choose your new citation style from the list.
Step 5: Right click in the folder box and choose ‘select all’ from the drop down menu
Step 6: Right click the selected items and choose ‘copy as,’ then ‘formatted citation’
Step 7: Open a Word document and right click and then select ‘paste’
Step 8: Review each citation to make sure there is no information missing.
